AM, Moorestown, NJ What a joy it was to read your article in the Courier-Post this week. It was beautifully written and full of spirit. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. CL, Haddon Heights, NJ Ever since I have begun reading the Physician’s Diary column in the Courier-Post, I have meant to write and relate to you my gratitude for the stories that you have written. Your column imparts to us that there are some caring doctors who do understand that their patients are people first, each with a unique life story. Your writings grant us insights into the humanity of your patients. Your stories are good for the soul. Please don’t ever stop writing them. CR, Wenonah, NJ Lovely story. I felt I was in the room with you. JK I am a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in pre-med and psychology. It is a dream of mine to go to medical school and become a pediatrician. My mother recently mailed me an article from the Courier-Post entitled, “Medical student sees more than a textbook case in patient.” I just wanted to write to you and thank you for the words of advice. Hopefully, one day I will have my own patients and remember to treat them like people, not medical cases. Thank you for the inspirational story. MK, University of Notre Dame There’s one thing that I don’t like about your column in the Courier-Post... “I wish it would appear more often!!!” DD, Audubon, NJ I just wanted to send you a note to thank you for all the beautiful stories you write in the Courier-Post. I’ve been a nurse in the South Jersey area for twenty-two years and the tenderness you display is heartwarming. I never finish your articles without a tear. I can so relate to each of your stories with my own experiences in private practice. Thanks again, Dr. Marzili, you have reached many hearts. I look forward to reading many more of your articles. SD, L.P.N. I’ve been planning to write you for a long time to tell you how much I enjoy your column...finally I’ve done it. Being a retired R.N., I feel your compassion, empathy and sensitivity when you write about patients as you do. If you are as good a M.D. as you are a writer, I feel you are one “special human being”. JS, Westmont, NJ I really enjoy your articles. They show the ideal of your profession. JK I just read another article you write and had to write to let you know how impressed I am. Your ability to relate these sensitive situations to others is exceptional! It allows people to see that the Medical Profession has concerned, empathetic, caring people such as yourself. I always feel that your article is the best one in the paper! I have even told my co-workers about your articles. Keep writing. You have a gift! TC, Oaklyn, NJ |
